We were recently asked to review the magic moves wand from Learning Resources. It has been a real hit straight away… With so many interesting and occasionally funny tasks to do, each accompanied by an emotive and fitting melody the girls have just loved it especially my youngest.
The magic moves wand was created by Marcia Gresko, an experienced preschool teacher and it was specifically designed to encourage movement, creativity and listening skills. The Magic moves wand is aimed at children 3+ but my 2.5 year old loves it as well as my 7 year old that also enjoys to get in on everything… even mummy has joined in… honestly if you were a fly on the wall in our house!
There are 90 movements and 26 different tunes to get your little ones (and you?!) moving, gliding, galloping, or slithering like a snake to keep them busy and exercised while helping them to learn new vocabulary.
I found the wand brilliant for little children, the interesting music and flashing light shows capture their attention and make the wand great fun. I also liked the inclusion of a repeat button, so if you miss an instruction or just really enjoyed the last one you can press the purple repeat button to hear it again.
Learning Resources also have a fantastic facebook competition to win a Magic Moves Wand for your little one over on their facebook page HERE the closing date for entries is March 1st 2013 so head over and get yours in!
